The high pressure fuel pump is a common failure item in the N54 and can put your car in to limp mode, or leave you stranded on the side of the road. This is the most up to date fuel pump available for the N54 from BMW. Signs of of a failed or failing fuel pump can be rough engine idle, miss fires, sudden losses of power, or the car not starting. This is a good upgrade if your car still has a older version of the high pressure pump, especially if your car is modified or you plan to in the future. The fuel pump does not include a core charge.
