 When it comes to your temperature gauge on your instrument cluster your thermostat plays a large role in where that temperature needle ends up. There are many cases where the vehicle will run a bit cool according to that gauge often times meaning the thermostat has failed and is stuck open allowing coolant to continuously circulate. The other more damaging side is when it closes shut and keeping the engine from cooling down properly. All vehicle are designed to operate in an ideal temperature range for the ultimate efficiency, life, and performance.  Includes housing. Does not include housing gasket.
